F&S Building currently has 50+ valued employees and a close network of highly-vetted experienced specialty residential contractors that have made F&S the Experts, no matter what type of project is on the table. F&S ranked #89 in Qualified Remodeler’s Top 500 for 2017, and we offer the best home renovations in the region. F&S Building Innovations’ strong Commercial Division has a heavy presence in the healthcare and large commercial arena. With ongoing contracts with major grocery store chains, convenience store chains, local universities and hospital renovations, the Commercial Team has been improving life in the Valley for over 25 years. The Residential Division is one of the area’s leaders in custom renovations ranging from a simple new deck to full home revitalization of kitchens, baths and additions. F&S introduced the Valley to Four Seasons Sunrooms in the late 80’s after having focused mainly on custom built homes previously. Since that time, the Residential Division has grown to be the premier Expert in the area for all renovation needs. F&S’s Design team can produce full AutoCad design drawings and renderings which complement the interior decorating services provided by the Certified Interior Decorator on staff.

Dr. Kent Clark
Dr. Kent Clark family

Kent Clark – Design Consultant

Kent came to the F&S Team with a lifetime of construction background- Kent’s father was a master carpenter and passed that knowledge on to Kent. Kent recently owned a renovation company in northern Virginia before moving back to the Roanoke area. Kent (technically, Dr. Clark) is a board-certified chiropractor and avid proponent of living a wellness lifestyle. He first sought chiropractic care while he was a professional firefighter/emergency medical technician and after just a few visits this experience changed his perception of health. Being a first responder to hundreds of calls for chronically ill patients, he realized the need for teaching people about living a wellness lifestyle and moved to Dallas, TX to study chiropractic. Dr. Clark graduated Summa Cum Laude from Parker University with his doctorate of chiropractic and bachelors of science in anatomy. He furthered his studies by taking additional courses in functional neurology and clinical nutrition, allowing him to provide a higher level of care to his patients. In 2011, Dr. Clark was honored to volunteer with ChiroMission and join a team of chiropractors on a six-day mission trip to St. Vincent, which is a small island in the Grenadine Islands. He along with the other doctors provided chiropractic services to government officials, military personnel, health care providers, and locals. Dr. Clark also had the privilege of working with many professional athletes (NFL & MLB) and their families during his time practicing in AZ. While practicing in Northern Virginia, Dr. Clark was chosen as one of “Loudoun’s Best Chiropractors” for 2018 & 2019 by Loudoun Times-Mirror readers and “Loudoun’s Favorite Chiropractor” in 2018 by LoudounNow readers.

Kent returned to his hometown of Roanoke, VA, where he resides with his wife, Lainey, their beautiful daughter, and their crazy tiny dog. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching football (“Hail to the Redskins”), running, fishing, and traveling.

Jason Evans – Senior Design Consultant

Jason has been with F&S since 2007. He came from an automotive background working at a Ford dealership. Those sales skills translated. Although Jason didn’t have a professional background in construction, he did his homework and learned the process and products well, and he is now the senior design consultant in the residential division with exceptional personal sales that have steadily increased year after year. Jason is originally from Florida and loves to ‘play in the mud’. He serves on the Leadership Team of Palestine Baptist church as Treasurer. Jason loves antique, fast cars, camping, spending time on the lake, and all things outdoors. He and his wife, Merry, are also very active in their daughter Payton’s softball team – coaching and travelling for tournaments.

Gene Rush – Director of Construction

Gene Rush has an over 25 year tenure with F & S Building Innovations. He began as a mechanic apprentice, mastering framing, drywall and acoustical ceiling assemblies quickly. Demonstrating leadership abilities with respect from peers, subordinates, and clients, along with his quick wit and problem solving abilities, he began superintending projects in 1996. As the volume of commercial work increased, Gene moved into production management – at times managing up to forty employees simultaneously along with multiple subcontractors. He continues his role as the Commercial Division Manager and works closely with estimators, project managers, and superintendents, ensuring that projects are properly staffed and progressing efficiently. Gene is active in church leadership and enjoys spending time with family, mowing grass (stress relief), and RVing.
